Product Description MCCI® is the world's leading developer of USB software technology for mobile devices. The MCCI USB DataPump® is a portable firmware package for high-performance, multi-function USB peripheral devices. Extensions of MCCI’s proven USB DataPump stack include Wireless USB, Embedded Host, On-The-Go (OTG), PictBridge, and the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) firmware products. Host drivers for Windows (Win2k, XP, Vista, and Win7), Mac and Linux round out MCCI’s end-to-end USB product offering. Our newest products are a USB3.0 SuperSpeed xHCI Windows stack and USB Attached SCSI support for USB2.0 and USB3.0. Interoperability Description and Customer Benefit MCCI and Synopsys help their customers bring USB 2.0 and 3.0 SuperSpeed products to market. For several years, the two companies have worked together to combine the Synopsys DesignWare USB IP and MCCI’s proven USB DataPump® software stack so customers can bring products to market in the shortest possible time.
Recently, the two companies have reinforced that successful relationship to jointly develop products for the newest evolution of high speed connectivity, USB 3.0 SuperSpeed. USB SuperSpeed addresses the need of transferring or streaming very large media files, such as those on Blu-ray Discs. Consumers will benefit from a 10x speed increase and reduced power consumption compared to USB 2.0. Often, new technologies are notoriously risky and costly to introduce, but Synopsys and MCCI can deliver a DesignWare® SuperSpeed USB IP solution combined with MCCI software as a pre-tested, pre-integrated solution, significantly reducing the development costs of their customers.
