Product Description The JEDA TLM-2.0 Compliance Checker is part of the JEDA TLM-2.0 Validation Suite. The product targets TLM-2.0 model developers and virtual platform integrators, who integrate TLM-2.0 models from various sources into a virtual platform. The checker reduces high-level SystemC model development time and ensures interoperability with OSCI TLM-2.0 models coming from various sources. The checker has been applied on TLM-2.0 SystemC models from various vendors. In many cases the violations found result in loss or accidently creation of transactions, system crashes as well as hard-to-find system-level malfunctions, while integrating those models into a virtual platform.
The JEDA TLM-2.0 Checker can easily be applied to either existing models or models under development. It is used during TLM-2.0 model unit testing and system integration. With JEDA’s configurable traffic profile generators, coverage tools and TLM-2.0 smart targets, the checker makes JEDA TLM-2.0 Validation Suite a complete TLM-2.0 model validation solution.
Interoperability Description and Customer Benefit With JEDA TLM-2.0 Compliance Checker users validate the compliance of SystemC models against TLM-2.0 interoperability standard. The integration with Synopsys Innovator enables users to utilize JEDA checkers inside a virtual platform to validate TLM-2.0 compliance of models used as part of virtual platforms in Synopsys Innovator. The TLM-2.0 standard has been developed to improve interoperability of models. The rules defined in the TLM-2.0 standard ensure safe communication of transactions between models. Not obeying the rules can result in lost or accidental creation of transaction, misrouted transactions as well as system malfunctions in the virtual platform. The automatic checking for violations of the TLM-2.0 rules significantly reduces debugging time for the developers as well as the users of virtual platforms.
