- Benefits
InvirTest – A Virtual Test Lab for Software: - Early software testing before hardware is available, reducing expensive late changes.
- More efficient and extensive testing in a lower cost virtual environment.
- Easy-to-use interface allows typical product or test engineer to run tests; permitting highly skilled specialists to focus on modeling and setup for improved efficiency.
- Earlier software maturity and improved quality reduce development costs
- Increased visibility and control with repeatable and predictable results for easier debugging.
- Easy replication of Virtual Labs for a global workforce and throughout the value chain for efficient shared development.
- Easily resurrected test environment to permit quick testing of in-cycle changes.
Interoperability Description and Customer Benefit
InvirTest is an easy-to-use, single interface that abstracts and simplifies the complexities of underlying tools (Synopsys/Virtual Prototyping, Mathworks/Simulink) while testing the user's embedded software in a virtual HIL framework.
As shown in the Flow diagram below, a Data Manager stores Synopsys - based ECU models, MathWorks Simulink plant models, as well as the user's target software, test vectors and other product information.
Through co-simulation using CoMET (or METeor), InvirTest manages the execution of the specified and auto-generated tests, analysis of the results and generation of reports.
